A little over half a year ago, in May last year, a symbolic time capsule was buried in Sendvaris for future generations, marking the start of construction on a new school and kindergarten. Today, a wreath has been raised above the new building, symbolizing the completion of major construction works. The new multifunctional center in Trušeliai, located on Agilos Street, will open its doors to students and preschoolers this September 1st. This school is one of the most significant and largest construction projects in the Klaipėda district, and its completion in Sendvaris will create hundreds of additional places for preschool and school-aged children in an area with the highest demand for educational facilities.
The school construction project is being implemented through a public-private partnership. The total project value exceeds €35 million. It is being implemented by the "Nter Social Infrastructure Fund," managed by the investment management company "Nter Asset Management." The project contractor is the company "Infes."
The new Sendvaris "Saulės" School will accommodate up to 550 primary school students, while the kindergarten will cater to 230 children. Those studying here will enjoy an especially modern and bright environment. The school community will not only benefit from a contemporary learning space but also from various recreational opportunities. Near the building, there will be facilities for mini football, handball, basketball, volleyball, outdoor tennis, and padel courts, as well as outdoor gym equipment and infrastructure for athletics activities.
