The social infrastructure fund managed by "Nter Asset Management" is taking over the Šiauliai County Police Headquarters developemnt project from the "BaltCap Infrastructure Fund“.The project is being carried out under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. This marks the third infrastructure project for the "Nter Social Infrastructure Fund" (NSIF).
"The most important aspect of this transition is that the Šiauliai County Police Headquarters project will continue. The city and the region need a modern, contemporary, and efficient police infrastructure. The fund's goal is to build a portfolio of 5-10 assets, some of which will be infrastructure projects implemented under the PPP model. NSIF operates in three areas: education, healthcare, and security, making the police headquarters project a perfect fit for the fund's investment strategy," said Benas Poderis, a partner at "Nter Asset Management."
The Šiauliai police headquarters project is attractive to the fund because of its collaboration with the Lithuanian Police Department, a reliable state institution with a strong track record in expanding police headquarters through the PPP model.
The new Šiauliai County Police Headquarters building will have over 5,000 square meters of space and more than 245 new, modern workplaces for employees. Currently, design work is ongoing, and the Police Department will acquire the completed project over a 12-year period.
The new police headquarters in Šiauliai, along with those in Panevėžys, Vilnius, and Kaunas, will improve the country's public service infrastructure.
"This is a much-needed and well-prepared infrastructure project that, once completed, will significantly improve the quality and functionality of the region's law enforcement work environment. These are key factors in creating a safe environment in the region. The project is being taken over by reliable and professional partners, so I am confident it will be completed on time and smoothly," said Simonas Gustainis, a partner at "BaltCap."
"We are pleased to contribute to this significant transaction. We believe that NSIF's long-standing expertise and experience in similar projects will ensure the project's successful continuation," said Simona Oliškevičiūtė-Cicėnienė, a partner at the law firm COBALT.
